Rossana Parker

My work is inspired by traditional iconography of the Americas.

With the increased interest in historical and culturalglobal heritages, my work has importance to me stating my own heritage by using traditional techniques in a contemporary form, thus creating interest and awareness in their origin and therefore in their historical background.

Most of my pieces are interior design objects for domestic and public spaces; these include textiles, ceramic and mixed media objects.

Lately I have been researching and experimenting with nature, native to south America, as inspiration for my design which still never ceases to amaze me how perfect nature is as a designer.
