Julia is a member of both the R.E and RWS, her work is found in public, private, and corporate collections – UK and abroad. A regular exhibitor in Royal Academy of Art’s Summer Exhibition Julia holds National awards for drawing, painting, and printmaking.

 

 

Julia Midgley RE ARWS Dip A.D was a Reader in Documentary Drawing at Liverpool School of Art & Design until 2013;  past Vice President Manchester Academy Fine Art, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers.

Whilst she is a printmaker specialising in etchings with aquatint, Julia holds national awards for her drawings and watercolours as well as printmaking. Drawing is the bedrock of her practice, she has a long term association with Documentary Drawing/ Reportage. 

Examples of work feature in Private, Public, and Corporate collections e.g. Arts Council England, Wellcome Foundation; National Museum Science and Industry;  Granada Television;  Blackpool Pleasure Beach; DLA Piper; National Army Museum; Clifford Chance.

Studio Address:  The Hollies Studio, 79 School Lane, Hartford, CW8 1PG

Studio Location: Self contained building housing drawing, painting and printmaking areas including etching press, display areas, works in progress, sketchbooks, portfolios, bargain boxes, books, and Artist’s greetings cards. Disabled access.

Studio Directions:  

Leave A556 at Hartford filter (traffic lights), turn into School Lane. Pass Hartford Hall Hotel on right, after 150yds take broad driveway on right opp. Lodge Lane.  Follow yellow signs to studio.

Opening dates & times: September 23rd & 24th 2017, 10 am to 5pm

    How much are they and do you do them in a size 14?
    I am sorry I won’t be able to get to the open studios event as I am away till14th, hope it goes well xx
